Welcome to the upgraded and expanded Sante Fe, Needles District 2.0 route!
This is a small model railroad style layout based on The Santa Fe, Needles district published as layout #84 in Model Railroader Magazine's 2009 special issue '102 Realistic Track Plans.' It was iniatially published in the September 2002 issue of Model Railroader Magazine. The track plan can also be found in the track plan database on MRR's website. It features compacted representations of Barstow and Needles rail yards in California, and a large hidden staging yard.
This route was built by Approach Medium as part of a Trainz Model Railroad build series, and expanded and upgraded by N3V Games for Trainz Model Railroad 2!
Featured are two sessions hauling freight trains around this model railroad, using a variety of motive power!
